Vehicles subject to prior sale, announcements made day of auction take precedence over any printed material.

Titles

Any car that is not accompanied by a title or bank lien statement will be refused for consignment. Please locate your serial number; all numbers will be inspected prior to sign-in. Lost title application will not be accepted. Oregon Dept. of Motor Vehicles rules apply.

Commission

Our commission is 8% of the selling price when sold under $10,000;
7% from $10,001 to $20,000; 6% from $20,001 to $30,000; and 5% on any amount above.
$250 minimum commission on all sold vehicles.
Entry fee of $150 on reserved vehicles will not apply to sales commission.
All commissions do apply with a minimum commission of $250.

Tips for Selling

Sell cars "front line ready."
Detailing gets you top dollar.
Make sure your unit starts, especially when selling older models.
Make mechanical repairs before the sale.
Overpricing usually means "no sale."
Be reasonable in filling out the minimum bid reserve price.
 Lots of sales are made after the auction is over.

Tips for Buying

Best buys are early and late in sale - so go early and stay late.
Arrive by 8:00 a.m. to check the cars you are interested in.
Use the guide books and your own experience.
Form an idea of what you want to pay.
 Have a cushion for reconditioning costs.
Establish a line of credit or obtain a letter of guarantee from
your bank prior to the day of sale.
You won't get to buy them all. List two or three
times the number of vehicles you want to buy.
Don't forget about the 5% Buyer's Fee

$6.00
children 12 and under are free.

Terms of Sale

Cash, cashier's check, traveler's check, personal check, or company check with a letter of guarantee from your bank to Petersen Auction Group. A 5% buyer's premium will be added to all purchases.
